86 police inspectors promoted to ASP ranks

Bangladesh Police have promoted 86 inspectors to the ranks of Assistant Superintendent.

The promotion of these ‘non-cadre’ officials was announced in a circular of the home ministry on Monday.
 
Such ‘non-cadre’ officials generally do not get promoted to ranks higher than Assistant Superintendent of Police.
 
Only the BCS (Police) cadres directly get appointed as ASPs.
