One of them is a member of the examination committee of the Golam Mostofa Model
College in Dhaka’s Demra.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Deputy Commissioner Muntasirul Islam said on Monday that the trio were detained on Sunday night.

He, however, declined to divulge their names or give other details, saying a briefing would be held later in the day.

On July 6, police had picked up six people in Dhaka for demanding money from students after promising on Facebook to give HSC question papers in advance.

The Education Ministry, last year, was forced to hold an examination twice due to a question paper leakage. There were also allegations of question papers being posted on social media platforms the night before the primary, JSC and SSC exams.

Even this year, bdnews24.com had found a copy of the accountancy paper leaked on Facebook, matching the original’s objective section.
