Highway blockade in Munshiganj protesting 3-wheeler ban
Autorickshaw owners and drivers in Munshiganj have blocked the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway on Saturday protesting a ban on them from plying on highways.

The government banned auto-rickshaws, locally made human-haulers and other non-mechanised vehicles on the national highways across Bangladesh effective from Sunday.
The protestors blocked the highway around 11am at Gazaria Upazila’s Bausiya, said local administration chief Mahabuba Bilkis.
The protests created a huge traffic snarl in one of the busiest highways in Bangladesh.
Traffic resumed after an hour when the police intervened, she said.
