Three including woman, children killed as boat sinks in Sunamganj
A woman and two children have drowned after a passenger-carrying boat capsized in Sunamganj’s Shalla Upazila.

Police say another woman was missing.
Shalla Police Station OC Anisur Rahman said the accident took place at Berha estuary on Chhaptar Haor around 4pm on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Hasina Aktar, 25, her daughter ‘Preeti’, 3, and ‘Jony’, 5. The missing woman is Jyotsna Begum.
Police and locals were trying to find Jyotsna.
Quoting other passengers of the boat who managed to swim ashore, OC Rahman said the Shalla-bound vessel was carrying 11 people when it got caught in heavy winds and overturned.
Locals found the dead bodies afterwards, he added.
