The list can be accessed at www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid told the media in Dhaka on Thursday.

The candidates found eligible can enrol in Grade-XI until July 26.

Others, who have already enrolled in colleges, can seek transfers to their preferred ones, if the institutions permit, Nahid said.

The option will be available from July 27 until August.

“The scope is being given so that no one can say they weren’t able to get admission to their preferred college,” the minister added.

Those who applied for the fourth time have been included in the last merit list.

More than 1.17 million students had enrolled in colleges till Thursday, Nahid said.

This year, over 1.28 million students cleared the SSC examination.

But, Nahid said, over 200,000 college seats were still lying vacant.

He said no student had enrolled in 14 colleges in Dhaka.

Ministry officials said the number of colleges with zero-admission was 148 across Bangladesh.

For the past several years, colleges had been enrolling students on the basis of their SSC results.

The first list was published on June 28 midnight, three days behind schedule, due to technical glitches.

Many students faced admission problems due to errors in that list, while many colleges had not got it in time.

Minister Nahid hoped there would be no such hitch during admission next year.
