Government cancels grant for online group CP Gang
The government has cancelled the grant awarded to online platform CP Gang for creative work in information technology.

A statement by the information and communication technology ministry said the move was forced by negative media reports over the pro-government online platform.
The ICT ministry has been condemned on the social media platforms after the news broke last Tuesday that it donated the Gang Tk 400,000.
Many online activists in scathing posts said the government gave institutional endorsement to cyber terrorism by providing the vulgar, organised group on the internet with a share of taxpayer’s money.
Though the online outfit claims to be pro-liberation, critics say it’s the pro-liberation activists who are primary targets of their assaults.
The group is also accused of harassing women in the cyberspace for their opposition.
