It was not yet clear whether the police was referring to explosives ready for use or material used for making them.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) spokesperson Muntasirul Islam told bdnews24.com that three people were arrested from Dhaka’s Lalbagh on Sunday night with 2 kg of ‘explosive materials’.

Based on their information, another person was arrested from Chittagong with nearly 1200 kgs of 'explosive material', said Islam.

He, however, did not say whether the four held were linked to any militant group, but said details will be provided in a media briefing later in the day.
