Shalikha police OC Abu Jihad Khan told bdnews24.com that the locals called the police after finding the body in Piarpur field on Friday morning.
“He was blindfolded and his hands were bound. There are a number of bullet marks on the body,” he said.
The identity of the 40-year-old is yet to be ascertained and the police suspect the body was dumped in the field after the killing.
It was recovered around 8:30am and sent to the Magura Sadar Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
