Dhaka University’s Ruqayyah Hall students besiege provost at office protesting ‘low quality’ Iftar

Dhaka University students attached to the Ruqayyah Hall have demonstrated against what they say was low quality food served by the authorities for Iftar on the university’s 94th founding anniversary

They besieged provost Nazma Shaheen at her office on Wednesday night and shouted slogans demanding her resignation.

They alleged Shaheen got angry when they demanded an explanation.

The agitated students were seen demonstrating at the hall provost’s office from 8pm to 11pm. They also stage protests inside the hall gate.

Shaheen did not receive phone calls from bdnews24.com.

Proctor Amzad Ali said he heard that the students took position in front of the provost’s office.
