Police detain four men with stolen motorcycles in Dhaka

Police have detained four people with as many stolen motorcycles from the capital’s Kamrangir Char, Basila and Keraniganj localities.

Saiful Islam Badsha, Md Ratan, ‘Nasir’ and ‘Motaleb’ were caught on Tuesday night.
 
Adabar Police Station SI Ashiqur Rahman told bdnews24.com on Wednesday they were nabbed following investigations after a general diary (GD) was filed.
 
On Monday, Tauhid Uddin filed the GD after his motorcycle was stolen from Adabar after breaking the lock of a garage.
 
Police also seized four motorcycles during the raid, SI Rahman said.
 
He said the ‘gang leader’, Badsha, had four cases of motorcycle theft against him in Barisal’s Muladi Police Station.
 
“He is a member of an inter-district gang of thieves,” he said.
 
“After theft, the gang sell off the motorcycles in different districts.”
