UN Women Bangladesh on Facebook

UN Women Bangladesh is expanding its social media presence with the launch of its official Facebook page.

The UN agency says the social media presence will help spread the work of UN Women in Bangladesh to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.

As an UN body , it is dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. It was established to accelerate progress to achieve those goals worldwide.

The Facebook page, UN Women Bangladesh, will feature updates on UN Women programme, feature stories, and the latest from UN Women’s global campaigns.

Its work in Bangladesh spans from increasing women’s political participation, to supporting women speak up about sexual harassment in universities, and incorporating the support of men in the popular HeForShe campaign.

The Facebook page will share news on these significant issues, issues for women regionally and globally, and the work of other UN agencies in Bangladesh in integrating gender equality into their programmes.
