Education Secretary Nazrul Islam Khan announced the publication around 12:30am on Monday at a press briefing at the Bangladesh

University of Engineering and Technology.

“A total of 10,93,374 students have been nominated for admission on the first merit list,” he said.

The list is available on the official website -  www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd.

As many as 1.15 million students, who passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations in 2015, are

waiting for the list to get accepted by the college of their choice.

Because of the delayed results, the Subcommittee President Professor Abu Bakar Siddique had earlier said, “The students will have the chance to get admission to colleges without any fee for delay from June 29 to July 1.”

But the classes will start on July 1 as per the previous schedule, he added.
