Robber gang lord killed in Lakshmipur shootout: RAB

A man, described by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) as a 'listed criminal', has died during a ‘shootout’ in Lakhsmipur.

He was identified as ‘Nasir’ and RAB says his gang was known as ‘Nasir Bahini’.

Major Sakib Siddique of Lakhsmipur-based RAB-11 said that the shootout took place around 12:30am at a brickfield at Sadar Upazila’s Bhabaniganj.

Four RAB personnel were injured in the incident. Two firearms and 15 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the spot, Major Siddique said.
