HSC students assault teacher for stopping them cheating in exams
Several HSC examinees at a Golapganj centre have beaten up an associate professor after he stopped them cheating in the test, police say.

Police have detained an examinee over Tuesday’s assault at Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Government Women’s College in the town.
Associate Professor Abu Sayeed Mia has been admitted to Gopalganj General Hospital after the assault.
He said he had barred some students from cheating in the mathematics test in the morning.
“Several candidates attacked me after the exam at the college gate when I was going home,” Mia said.
He said locals rescued him and took him to hospital.
Gopalganj Sadar Police Station OC Md Zakir Hossain Molla said they had detained one Subrata Biswas, a HSC examinee, for his suspected involvement.
