Woman, daughter burnt in Narsinghdi acid attack

An acid attack at Narsinghdi’s Monahardi has left a woman and her daughter severely burnt.

Rokeya Begum, 45, and her daughter Sabikun Nahar, 25, were sent to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital after the attack early on Saturday.
 
Monahardi Police Station OC SM Alamgir Hossain said the attack took place at the house of farmer Abdul Mannan of Charmandalia village.
 
Mannan’s wife Begum and daughter Nahar went to bed as usual on Friday night, the OC said.
 
Miscreants threw acid at them through the window around 2am on Saturday, he said.
 
They were taken to Monahardi Upazila Health Complex and then transferred to the DMCH, he added.
