The plan follows criticism over the Holy Cross Girls’ High School test question that suggested 'indecent’ clothes invite molestation of girls.

Abu Bakar Siddique, Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, said a decision would be taken soon to this end after a meeting between the chiefs of the boards.

“We will discuss the issue and take a decision within this month.”

He said directives would be issued to all the schools.

Siddique said the school inspector will demand an explanation from Holy Cross why such question was asked.
The response of the school would be examined, he added.
“This kind of issue should be avoided since it’s a secular country.”
“It’s not that they don’t know the matter. The teachers are recommended and trained elaborately on how to set questions. Still complications arise.”
On Monday, the school held the test for Islamic Studies (Creative) course in its first term exam of grade 10.
Question No. 5 of the 50-mark paper refers to a woman’s dress as a source of provocation for harassment.
The head teacher of the school, Sister Rani Catherine Gomes admitted the ‘mistake’ and ‘apologised’.
