Two suspected Islamic State activists held in Dhaka

Police have nabbed two suspected activists of Middle East-based radical group Islamic State (IS) in Dhaka.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) spokesperson Jahangir Alam said that they were arrested on Sunday night from Dhaka’s Uttara.

The DMP deputy commissioner, however, did not elaborate.

“Two persons have been detained on suspicion of being IS militants. We will provide the details later in a media briefing,” he told bdnews24.com.
