Crash on western link road of Bangabandhu Bridge in Sirajganj again, 3 killed

Sirajganj’s Kamarkhand Upazila has seen two gruesome road accidents in just 13 hours.

The latest one occurred in the same Konabari area early on Sunday when a truck, carrying gas cylinders, hit one stranded on the western link road of the Bangabandhu Bridge.
 
The accident, which occurred around 4:30am, killed three, including the driver.
 
Bangabandhu Bridge (West) Police Station Sub-Inspector Ahsan Habib said two others injured in the accident were sent to a hospital in Bogra.
 
SI Habib said the driver and the two sitting in the driver’s cabin died on the spot and the two on the trailer were injured.
 
One of the dead was identified as Dudu Mia, 48, from Bogra.
 
His son Raihan Ali, 25, was injured in the accident. The other injured was Mohammad Gafur from Sirajganj.
 
Earlier, on Saturday afternoon, a truck and two buses had collided in the same area, leaving 10 dead and 48 injured.
