Three units of Ashuganj station resume electricity production
Three malfunctioning units of the Ahsuganj Power Station in Brahmanbarhia have been restored after six hours.

The units resumed operation around 2pm after shutting down around 8am on Wednesday, said power station officials.
The units failed due to a mechanical malfunction, resulting in the station’s supply to the National Grid dropping by 264MW.
Power station Engineer Md Yakub told bdnews24.com that a 132-KV line had tripped at the switch yard substation.
“As a result, Unit-2 of 64MW capacity, Unit-3 of 150MW capacity and the 50MW gas engine unit shut down at the same time.”
The in-house engineers repaired the damage and the units resumed generation around 2pm, he said.
