Truck driver robbed and stabbed to death at Tongi
Muggers have decamped with money and mobile-phone after stabbing a truck driver to death at Gazipur's Tongi.

The murder took place in Bastuhara area early on Sunday, Tongi Police Station Sub-Inspector Sumon Bhakto said.
The murdered Bulbul Ahmed, 26, was driving a cement-laden truck from Naraynganj to Bogra.
Quoting his assistant Tajel Mia, Bhakto said Ahmed took a break at Tongi around 3am.
He sent Mia to bring betel leaf from a stall after stopping the truck by the roadside. Three to four muggers got into the truck at that time and took his money and mobile-phone away.
As Ahmed tried to prevent them, they knifed him on his head, neck and leg, Bhakto said.
Mia screamed for help when he found Ahmed knifed in the car.
Doctors at Tongi Hospital declared him dead when he was taken there.
Bhakto said the body was sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College and Hospital mortuary for post mortem examination.
