Man accused of killing wife in Dhaka
A man has been accused of killing his wife in the capital’s Mugda area.

However, the husband denied the charges, claiming she fell from the roof of the four storey building.
Injured Jasmine Akhter, 20, was taken to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) around 10pm Wednesday.
Around 1:30am she succumbed to her injuries, said Mugda police’s SI Moinul Haque.
Jasmine’s husband, Mohsin Ali has been detained for questioning, he said.
SI Moinul said, “According to Moinul, Jasmine fell from the roof of the four storey building at Jheelparha in Manda around 10pm.
“Jasmine’s family, however, said Mohsin often used to torture her. He had hit her on that night as well.”
Police are investigating the family’s accusation, said the SI.
