Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has greeted BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Pahela Baishakh, the Bengali new year to be celebrated on Tuesday.

The card, containing her message, was delivered to Khaleda’s Gulshan office by protocol officer SM Khurshid Alam around 5:15pm on Sunday.
It was received by Jashim Uddin Pramanik, a staffer at Khaleda’s office.
The prime minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokon confirmed bdnews24.com that card had been delivered.
Bangladesh is preparing to ring in the new year around the country with fanfare.
