Oyasiqur was hacked to death on Monday, a month after writer-blogger Avijit Roy was brutally murdered in Dhaka.
Locals caught two madrasa students and handed them to police immediately after the attack at Tejgaon.
“We are horrified and deeply saddened by the murder of Oyasiqur Rahman Babu, and we offer our condolences to his family and friends,” the US said.
Police are yet to crack Roy’s murder case.
