Mother, daughter hacked to death
An old lady and her daughter have been hacked to death in sleep at Gazipur's Kapasia Upazila.

Sufi Begum (74) and Madia Begum (50) were murdered at midnight on Monday at their house in Gabur area, says Kapasia police station OC Abul Kashem.
Kapasia Union Chairman Mohammed Azhgar Hossain said the mother and daughter were sleeping in the same room. Around 7am, relatives found the door of the room open.
When they entered the room, they found the blood-spattered bodies of both.
"The murders appear to have taken place sometime around midnight. The killers decamped with Tk 4000-5000 after breaking the lock of a steel trunk," OC Kashem said.
He said police has started a hunt to nab the killers.
