Court orders death for two for rape, murder of schoolgirl
A court in Netrokona has found two persons guilty of raping and killing a girl in 2012.

In its verdict on Tuesday, the Women and Child Oppression Prevention Tribunal ordered death sentence for both the convicts.
They are Ali Hossain, 25 from Netrokona’s Barhatta Upazila and Mabud Hossain, 25 from Sunamganj’s Dharmapasha Upazila.
They have been also fined by Tk 10,000 each, said Prosecutor GM Khan Patthan.
A second-grader student of Atithpur Primary School at Barhatta Upazila went missing on Jun 13, 2012. Her body was found the next day at a field.
The father filed a case accusing the two the next day with Barhatta Upazila,
Police arrested the two, who confessed to raping and killing the girl. Charges were pressed against them on Oct 5 the same year.
