West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has strongly condemned the brutal murder of the Avijit Roy.

Condemning the murder on Tuesday, she tweeted: “We believe in freedom of expression”.
The Bangladeshi-American writer and blogger along with his wife and fellow blogger Rafida Ahmed Bonya were hacked near the Amar Ekushey Book Fair on Dhaka University campus on Feb 26 night.
Bonya lost her thumb and is undergoing treatment for serious injuries in the head and shoulders.
Roy had been facing threats from Islamist radicals for his secular blogging for a while.
International communities including the UN, EU, and the US have condemned the attack in their strongest terms.
The US is assisting the investigation process as both Roy and his wife are naturalised US citizens.
