Police took control of his car when he got in it after leaving Khaleda's office around 8pm on Sunday.

The car carrying Falu, who owns private TV station NTV, had entered the office half an hour ago.

A plain-clothed team of Detective Branch (DB) surrounded him when he was getting in the car with an NTV sticker on it.

One of them told him: "The Joint Commissioner sir wants to talk to you. Please come with us."

After sometime, the detectives got in Falu's car and one of them drove it. Falu was seen sitting in a passenger seat of the car.

DB Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman said he was taken to the DB office at Minto Road.

BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, arrested in separate cases, are being interrogated in the DB office now.

The BNP chief's advisors Shamsuzzaman Dudu, Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, Joint Secretary General Mohammad Shahjahan and Assistant Office Secretary Shamimur Rahman are also among the leaders of the party held in cases over vandalising and arson acts on scores of vehicles.
