FM congratulates his new Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias

Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali has congratulated his new Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias.

Kotzias has been appointed as foreign minister after Syriza party formed the government on Jan 29.

Prior to his new appointment, Kotzias was professor of Political Theories of International and European Studies at the University of Piraeus.

“I believe your able leadership and profound knowledge, expertise and experience in academia and diplomacy would be invaluable in achieving Greek foreign policy objectives and taking Greece’s foreign relations with the world to new heights,” Ali said in his congratulatory message.

He said he also looked forward to working with him “closely in materializing our common goals through collective efforts of our two friendly countries”.

He also hoped that the existing “bond of cooperation” would be strengthened further during his term for the benefit of the people of the both countries.
