Prothom Alo Editor Matiur Rahman surrenders to court, gets bail
Prothom Alo Editor Matiur Rahman has secured bail in a case of ‘hurting religious sentiments’ from a court in Jhalakathi.

He surrendered to the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Arifuzzaman on Tuesday.
The court granted bail and exempted the Bangla daily's editor from physical appearance in court following a plea by the defence.
Earlier the same court had issued an arrest warrant for Rahman, as he had not turned up despite being summoned in a case accusing the Bangla daily of hurting religious sentiments.
