The remains were expected to arrive at 11:30am, BNP chief's Special Assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas said.

The first Namaj-e-Janaza of Coco would be held at the Naya Paltan headquarters of the party after the Asr prayers on the same day, he said.

The BNP will mourn the death for three days from Monday, its Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said in a statement.

The supporters of the party would wear black badges and black flags would be hoisted at the party offices across the country during the mourning, he said.

The grieving mother called the standing committee members of the party in the evening to discuss the funeral and burial of Coco.

A condolence book has been kept in front of the office of Khaleda at Gulshan.

Coco died of heart failure in Kuala Lumpur in the afternoon while he was being taken to a hospital.

The 45-year-old had been staying in Kuala Lumpur since 2011.

He had moved to Malaysia from Bangkok where he had gone in July 2008 for treatment after the then military-backed caretaker government had paroled him.
