The party’s Assistant Office Secretary Abdul Latif Jony said they applied for permission to hold Quran-khwani and Doa-Mahfil on the ground floor of the office on Saturday.

“But Paltan Model Police said they could not allow the programme,” he added.

Police did not want to speak on the matter.

They had locked the gate of the office after picking up the party’s Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Jan 3.
