Fire guts 200 shops in Rangamati
A fire has gutted at least 200 shops in a market in Rangamati’s Baghaicharhi Upazila.

Bafhaicharhi police OC Azizul Haque said the fire broke out at the town’s ‘Kalam Market’ around 4am on Saturday and it soon spread .
“The shops were burnt down to ashes before fire service personnel from Khagracharhi could reach.”
Businessmen said goods worth around Tk 100 million were destroyed in the fire.
Police think a short-circuit may have caused the fire but are yet to confirm the exact cause.
