They were killed after being trapped in wet concrete following the collapse of a floor being levelled at a train terminal construction site at the Putra Heights in Subang Jaya area, near capital Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysian authorities confirmed that one of the victims had been identified as Md Suman Mollah, who is in his 30s. More details are awaited.

The other body is yet to be identified.

The floor collapsed around 4:30pm local time. Rescuers recovered one of the bodies around 10:30pm and the other around 1am Thursday, said Selangor Fire and Rescue assistant director of operations Mohd Sani Harul.

He said the first floor, where six workers were levelling wet concrete, collapsed trapping the two, who were on the ground floor of the construction site.
