3 die as bus tumbles in Kishoreganj
A bus fell into a ditch after losing control, leaving three persons dead in Kishoreganj’s Kuliarchar Upazila.

Police said the bus lost control and fell into the ditch on the Kishoreganj-Bhairab road just past midnight, killing three on the spot. At least 30 others were injured.
Kuliarchar Police OC Chowdhury Mizanuzzaman Khan said the bus was reserved for pilgrims heading for a shrine at Habiganj from Mymensingh’s Nandail.
The victims are Umeda Begum, 52, Jasim Uddin, 60, and Jahera Begum, 52. They were all residents of Nandail’s Chandipasha.
Eight who were critically injured were rushed to Jahurul Islam Medical College and Hospital while the others were taken to hospitals around Kuliarchar and Bhairab.
A cow that was being taken to the shrine also died in the incident, the passengers said.
