A letter carrying the order was received by the Jessore Civil Surgeon Dr Atikur Rahman on Thursday.

A three-member committee, ordered to supervise the exhumation, had not been formed either, he told bdnews24.com.

“The deputy commissioner, superintendant of police, the police OC have or will receive similar letters. Exhumation and re-autopsy will begin after police arrive from Dhaka.”

Shamarukh was declared dead at Central Hospital on Nov 13 after being taken there from her in-law’s Dhanmondi residence.

She was married to Humayun Sultan Shadab, son of former Awami League MP Tipu Sultan and Dr Jesmin Ara Begum, for two years.
The report of her autopsy conducted at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital said the 24-year old hung herself but her father Nurul Islam rejected it and blamed Humayun’s parents for ‘influencing’ the findings.
Islam, a retired PWD engineer, moved the court and Magistrate Bikash Kumar Saha of Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court ordered the re-autopsy on Nov 25.
Shamarukh was studying FCPS at the Bangladesh Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) after passing MBBS from Dhaka's Holy Family Medical College.
Her husband and both his parents are accused of murder in the case filed by her father the day she was found dead. Humayun was arrested and put behind bars, while his parents secured anticipatory bail.
Meanwhile, several persons entrusted with the reexamination of the body claimed they did not have a forensic expert or the necessary equipment, choosing to remain anonymous.
“You know, there are a few problems,” said Civil Surgeon Dr Atikur.
Shamarukh’s father has also filed a general diary at the Kotwali Police Station in Jessore on Saturday, seeking security.
“Me and my son Shahanur Md Sharif are afraid for our lives after filing the murder case accusing Tipu Sultan, his wife Jesmin Ara Begum and Shadab. The defendants can kill us anytime,” it read.
