In a media statement on Wednesday, it said some media outlets had been running “misleading news” since the beginning of the exams.
The ministry had been “closely observing” and “seriously analysing” the matter of alleged question paper leak.
A section of the media reported ‘leak’ of question papers of English and Bangla after the exams began on Sunday.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman, however, dismissed the reported leak.
He said he was ready to take responsibility if question papers were indeed leaked.
The ministry statement claimed that they did not find any similarity between the original question papers and those available on Facebook ‘in the form of suggestions’.
It said the question paper leak was a rumour and the news on it was baseless.
The ministry requested all not to publish ‘mean, false, baseless, motivated and suspicious news’ taking into consideration the future of the examinees.
It advised the guardians not to worry over the rumours.
