He has also promised to act on specific allegations.

"I've been hearing reports of question paper leak from reporters and other channels. But none has officially said anything about it," Rahman told reporters on Tuesday.

About 3.1 million students are sitting for the PSC and Ebtedayee tests that began on Sunday.

Media reports claimed questions of Bangla and English papers had been available before the examinations began.

Minister Rahman said there was no allegation of leak of English question paper but there were some claims of irregularities in Bangla exam.

There were reports that up to 70 percent of questions were found to be as per suggestions, he said.

Rumours have it that some were providing such suggestions on social networking sites like Facebook, the minister said, claiming allegations of question paper leak were 'motivated'.

Asked who would take responsibility in case of a leak, he said he would.

"I'll shoulder responsibility as the minister," Rahman said adding, "Investigation will make it clear how much liability do the secretary and I have."
