One dies in Gazipur crash
A battery-run auto-rickshaw driver has died in an accident with a bus in Gazipur’s Kaliakair.

Three passengers of the auto-rickshaw were injured in the crash.
The victim , Fazal Mia, 30, was a resident of Kaliakair.
Kaliakair Police Sub-Inspector Mohammad Ali Jinnah said the accident took place in front of the police station at Dhaka-Tangail Highway on Saturday morning.
The injured were ‘Saraswati’, 35, her daughter ‘Dulali’, 8, and son ‘Sonai’, 4.
Sonai was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital while the others were treated with first aid.
SI Jinnah said Saraswati was headed for a kindergarten school at the Upazila’s Latifpur area with her children on the auto- rickshaw when a KP Paribahan bus rushed in from the opposite direction to hit it to injure them.
The locals rushed them to Kaliakair Upazila Health Complex where the driver died, the police official added.
