Bangladeshis out of harm of New York snowstorm

Bangladesh neighbourhood is about five miles away from the US snowstorm affected county city Buffalo in New York, the foreign ministry has said, assuring that no Bangladesh nationals has been harmed.

Around 2,000 Bangladeshis live in Buffalo, it said in a statement on Thursday.

The snowstorm since Nov 18 reportedly killed eight people.

However, the foreign ministry said, “roads are generally slippery and some houses suffered frozen water lines”.

The local city authorities were helping those in need of assistanc.
