33 Juba League activists injured

At least 33 activists of the ruling Awami League affiliate Juba League have been injured in a bus accident in Gazipur.

They were on their way to attend Juba League's rally in Dhaka on Saturday.

Naojor highway police's Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Kawsar Ahmed said a bus carrying the activists overturned in front of Bangabandhu Krishi University in the morning.

Manipur Union Juba League unit chief Tapan Chandra Debnath is among those injured.
He said the bus was carrying about 60 youths.
Gazipur Sadar Hospital's resident doctor Abdus Salam Sarkar said Kabir Hossain, Abu Raihan, Abul Kalam, 'Dulal, Tamij Uddin, Wahab Hossain Fakir, 'Milon', Hakim Mia, 'Rafiqul', and 'Enaet' had been sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
The rest are being treated at Gazipur Sadar Hospital.
