The educationist's body will be first taken to his former workplace Jahangirnagar University on Thursday morning.
Afterwards, it will be kept at the Central Shaheed Minar from 11am to 12:30pm, the organisation's General Secretary Golam Kuddus said Wednesday.
Later, Siddiqui's funeral prayers will be held at the Dhaka University Central Mosque.
However, a decision on his burial will be taken after his two brothers return home, said Kuddus.
Siddiqui, who won Bangladesh's highest civilian award, Swadhinata Padak, died around Tuesday midnight at his Banani residence at the age of 86.
He is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter.
He was a two-time vice-chancellor at the Jahangirnagar University. Professor Siddiqui also was an advisor to the 1990-91 interim government.
