BGB personnel killed in Satkhira

A Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) personnel has been killed by smugglers at Satkhira’s Lakkhidari border.

The victim, Subedar Nazrul Islam, was a company commander of BGB’s Bhomra camp.
BGB’s 38 batallion Major Najir Ahmed Baksi said two men were detained following the Thursday morning’s murder.
The detained, ‘Polash’ and ‘Rony’, are involved in smuggling, said BGB.
Major Najir told bdnews24.com that Nazrul Islam and his colleague Sepoy ‘Bellal’ went on a patrol near the border on motorbike in the morning when they were attacked.
Nazrul, severely injured in the assault, was rushed to the Satkhira Sadar Hospital, where the doctors pronounced him dead.
