The dead has been identified as Faruk Hossain, 25, one of the truck drivers, hailing from Raiganj Upazila.
Hatikumrul Highway Police say a coal-laden Bogra-bound truck collided head-on with another goods-laden truck at Raihattri. After a while, a Sirajganj-bound truck carrying bricks rammed into the two trucks killing Hossain on the spot.
Sub-Inspector Ashraf Ali said the injured had been admitted to Bogra hospital.
The crash left hundreds of vehicles stranded on both sides.
Traffic resumed after police removed the trucks around an hour later.
