BGB-BSF flag meeting planned over lynching of suspected Bangladeshi cattle lifters

Border forces of India and Bangladesh will meet on Wednesday during the handing over of the bodies of three Bangladeshis killed in India on Tuesday.

Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel are expected to hold a flag meeting around 11.30am, said BGB 46 Battalion Commanding Officer Lt Col Nasir Uddin Ahmed.

The bodies are in custody of the Khowai police, said the BGB official.

Angry villagers in bordering Khowai district of Tripura in India lynched three suspected Bangladeshi cattle lifters on Tuesday.

The dead have been identified as Karam Ali, 40, Sujan Miah, 22 and Akkal Mia, 19. All of them hailed from Gazipur Union of Habignaj's Chunarughta Upazila.

In an earlier incident on April 6, three suspected Bangladeshi cattle lifters were lynched at India's Gournagar.
