Its Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed this to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday noon during their meeting.

The meeting took place at the hotel where she is staying for her three-day trip to Abu Dhabi.

He said the UAE is considering appointment of a labour attaché in Dhaka from the beginning of next year, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali told reporters.

Ali welcomed the move saying it was ‘a good initiative and a positive development.’

“We are working. We are planning a joint announcement before the end of the trip.”

Mahmood Ali said the meeting was held in a ‘highly cordial environment’ where various other bilateral matters were discussed.

He said he held talks with his UAE counterpart after the meeting with the prime minister. She is set to meet the prime minister of UAE and Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on the same day.
