Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on a three-day official visit on Saturday.

A number of agreements are scheduled to be signed during the visit, including those on security cooperation and transfer of sentenced prisoners.
The visit is crucial as the UAE has restricted its labour market for the Bangladeshi workers like many other countries.
The country is the second largest manpower destination for the remittance-dependent Bangladesh economy after Saudi Arabia.
