Kurigram accident kills pedestrian
A pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck on the Kurigram-Rangpur road in Kurigram Sadar Upazila.

The victim , Tangru Mamud, 60, was a daylabourer.
Sadar Police OC Abdul Baten Mia said the accident took place around 7am near the RDRS market.
The Dhaka-bound loaded truck lost traction near the market and hit Mamud before falling into a pit beside the road.
The victim died on the spot.
The driver fled and angry locals closed down the road but withdrew within an hour after intervened, the OC said .
