He said police had sought ten days’ custody in a case filed by slain lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker's family. The court granted eight days.

Earlier, Ruhul Amin had been remanded twice for 12 days in a case filed over the murders by the killed City Corporation Councillor Nazrul Islam's family.

Lance Corporal Ruhul Amin was arrested on Oct 7 from Patuakhali after being on the run for five months. He was remanded for seven days after his arrest.

Seven persons, including Narayanganj City Corporation Councillor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker were abducted fon April 27. Their bodies were found floating in the Shitalakhyya River several days later.

Nazrul’s father-in-law claimed that RAB-11 officers took Tk 60 million from another Narayanganj Councillor, Nur Hossain, for murdering Nazrul.
