Teacher shot dead in Cox's Bazar

Miscreants have shot dead a school teacher in Cox's Bazar after forcibly entering his house, police say.

Five other members of his family were also injured during Sunday morning's attack at Chokoria municipality's Digarpankhali locality.

Narayan Das, 33, taught at a high school in Chittagong's Lohagarha.

Chokoria police OC Prabhas Chandra Dhar said the attackers broke into Das's house and shot him. He was rushed to the Chittagong Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition and died there.

The injured have been admitted to the Chokoria Health Complex.

OC Dhar said they were trying to arrest the killers.
