DU teacher mugged on campus
A Dhaka University teacher was mugged on his own campus on Thursday evening.

Mass communication and journalism department teacher Dr Sudhangshu Shekhar Roy said two youths snatched Tk 2,000 from him at gunpoint around 7:15pm.
He said the muggers swooped on him in front of Centre for Advanced Research in Social Sciences, when he was going to the TSC on a rickshaw.
He told bdnews24.com that one mugger intercepted him and called the other, addressing him as ‘Rony’.
“One of them stuck something like pistol to my abdomen sitting beside me on the rickshaw. Then he told me, ‘give all you have if you love your life’. Then I give him the moneybag.”
The teacher said apart from the money, there were some important documents in the wallet.
The muggers, however, did not take away his mobile-phone set. “Maybe they didn’t take the mobile phone as it was cheap,” he added.
